garrrr[ this scene and a little extra in the middle plays out and the only warning is excessive cuteness. ]
Gar can't sleep in the super weird motel that Dick and Kory had decided for them to sleep in and he might have definitely overheard those two having adult fun times so that didn't help either. The night is nice anyway and the sky pretty clear. He's not been out there long, sitting on the picnic table when Rachel comes out and he smiles at her as she take a seat on the bench. "Sure you're okay...? Kinda scary back there," he asks and he's really happy to see her despite the fact she probably needed sleep as much as he did.
"I'm fine. You?"
Gar doesn't think she looks all that fine but then again there's always been a sense of sadness to her when he sees her. He gives her a shrug and a small smile. "Sure." He doubts any of them are okay.
"So does it hurt? When you transform?"
Gar smiles and slides down onto the bench as well. "Close your eyes." She gives him a look and he grins more. "I'm not going to do anything weird...well, not that weird. Just close your eyes." When she does he continues, "Take a deep breath and imagine there's electricity running through your whole body. It doesn't hurt. It just feels like.... you're plugged into something. Then you start to feel strong...and when you breathe, it's like you're breathing in the whole world. You feel free, totally free. And you have all that strength, you want to run, you want to jump. You want to break shit. You feel like you can do anything and you want to roar. Not because you're angry but because you want to let it all out. So roar."
Rachel roars and it's kind of the cutest thing and Gar chuckles. "That's what it's like."
