Most of the ones with power couldn't help themselves. I tried to reason with them or imprison them when they rose against me. Eventually I had to execute most of them.

There are still those around, although I hope it's more ignorance than hate that drives them. Ignorance can be helped. I want to build a school, so those that do have magic know how to use it, and those that don't know it's limitations.
