I don't know if he told you or not before he left, but for what it's worth, I did try to apologize for what I did, and he accepted it.

[Granted, it tends to sound trite when one says 'Sorry I killed you', but Ultron had put forth the effort even when he knew it wasn't going to gain him anything. Pietro accepting it was the most bizarre thing to him. If anyone should've wanted to hate him forever, it should've been him.]
