cw: clowns, violence

[ Here's the actual scene because it's... way too complicated: link ]

Stan's in the sewer with the Losers. They've saved Beverly but it's not over. The fight is terrible and he can feel the blood seep over his face. Stan's afraid but not as much about any specific phobia like his friends. He's afraid of the unnatural thing that It is, that fear runs like second nature but what's visceral is the terrible terror that is taking hold for his friends. So, while he might usually tend to avoid the fights, avoid danger and all of that he's right there with Ben grabbing onto one of Pennywise's arms to help Ben.

There's never a moment of doubt when It makes them an offer to trade Bill for themselves. He's proud of Richie's response and that none of them would ever leave Bill.

"Welcome to the Loser's Club, asshole," Richie yells and they're all fighting. Pennywise turns into Mike's fear, and he freezes, so Stan helps him only to have It turn into his own fear, the twisted woman from the unnatural painting in his father's office and he hits her. They keep fighting, all of them until they beat him.

Until they're not afraid anymore. Not even Stan in that moment.
