We all cared for it. Mama and I would cook and I would often inspect rooms for damages. My father taught me my numbers then, how to work the books. I would help with the coin, yes. I had small hands, and most found me charming. [So much of Montfermiel was rose-colored.]

Perhaps it's for the best she does not remember me. We were not kind to her. And when she left, that burden became mine.

I am glad you're here with me, Robb. That we have met and found one another.
