[Alex doesn't comment, instead she just goes to find him and wraps her arms around him. She knows how much he loved Beverly.]

[It takes him a long time, but, eventually, he wraps his arms around her and pulls her in tight.]

[She keeps her arms around him, but knows that there's nothing that she can say, not really about this. They know too much about the town that Bev came from to think about things being safe or whatever. They know too much about how her demons come back. And Alex knows that he's going to mourn the teenager, and she doesn't blame him for that at all.]

[He doesn't say anything. There's nothing to be said about any of this. Beverly is gone and what she's going back to is going to be devastating. Even if he won't believe in Pennywise, Beverly does, and the other demons, the human demons she has to deal with are all too real. And there's nothing he can do to help her.]

[Alex doesn't need her Sphere gifted abilities to know what he's feeling. She knows him well enough to know that he's thinking of the things that Beverly is going to deal with in her reality, and she knows that he hates it just as much as she does. Maybe even more. Alex is lucky in that her family is pretty great, but Richard and Beverly shared the bond of having abusive parents and they'd formed a bond that Richard had been missing since Charlie had left.

There isn't anything that Alex can do but to sit there and hold him and pray Bev is safe.]
