She runs a hand through hair hair and sighs again. ]

I'll keep it short and sweet: what are the things I need to know about this prison? Rules, problems, problem people, and especially progress you've all made on getting out. That one first preferably. [ Surely someone's made progress, right? Please say someone's made progress. ]

And let me know when the group townhall kumbaya meetings are. We're all stuck here together, right? Guessing people meet occasionally to discuss the shit they've found out. [ A pause and then she awkwardly adds: ] Thanks.

You could say that. [ She pursed her lips. ] The government doesn't really like us existing. It's illegal for us to use our powers in public, so we get to spend most of our time trying to hide what we are. Or we get Sentinel Services on our tracks. If you're lucky they'll just kill you. If you're unlucky, you might end up a part of the Hound program.

[Remy took a long pull from his glass before slowing down, thoughtfully.]

You mentioned the Hound program before. What is it? [She sounded as though she was familiar with it, and not just by reputation.]

[ She clenched her jaw and shook her head. ] Mutant hunting program that Trask industries came up with. They take mutants that Sentinel Services have taken into custody [ there's a disgusted tone there ], brainwash them, and then send them out to hunt their old friends. [ She pauses and looks down into the glass. ] A friend of ours that was captured on a mission was the first one we ran into.

Trask industries? Mon deiu. [He shook his head. It sounded like a lot of things in her were were allowed to run rampant that had been ended in his. Did they get the bad ending or what?] I'm sorry, cher.

Private military at it's finest. [ She shook her head and let out a scoff. ] You familiar with the name?

Bolivar Trask? Might have had a few run-ins with him, oui.

[A lot more than a few. The guy did build sentinels and was responsible for the deaths of several million mutants. Yeah, he's familiar.]

Shame he exists in other universes. [ Probably spreading more hate and ways to screw with her people. ] We put a stop to the program and the collars. Not really sure it's going to make much of a difference though. [ Not after a lot of the things that had happened recently. Things that she couldn't help but blame herself for. ]
