Soooo [ she folds her arms across her chest and heaves a sigh. Try to be polite, Polaris. Don't start of making enemies right away. ] I'm Polaris. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has more important things to be doing, so I'll spare you all a complaint filled introduction. [ She's that generous. She runs a hand through hair hair and sighs again. ]

I'll keep it short and sweet: what are the things I need to know about this prison? Rules, problems, problem people, and especially progress you've all made on getting out. That one first preferably. [ Surely someone's made progress, right? Please say someone's made progress. ]

And let me know when the group townhall kumbaya meetings are. We're all stuck here together, right? Guessing people meet occasionally to discuss the shit they've found out. [ A pause and then she awkwardly adds: ] Thanks.

He's another mutant, known for being fast. I guess I just knee-jerked it.

[ She looked contemplative for a moment and then shrugged. ] I think there was a more well known mutant that went by Quicksilver a while ago. Never looked too much into him though, most of his group just up and vanished. Kinda more important people to focus on then those that just up and left.

Yeah, Quicksilver was absolutely someone back home. My uncle actually. I'm third generation mutant.

[Damn, he's rehashing all of this, but he doesn't know how to tell er that it's awkward. So awkward.]

I know two siblings that are third generation. They're good kids. [ She thinks about adding in that she's second generation but decides against it. No point really in hashing that out with a stranger. ]

Yeah. It's pretty well documented, most mutants know about it. One day both the X-Men and the Brotherhood just disappeared. Nobody knows what happened to them or why they left.

[Well, this was all just a thing, wasn't it? Tommy bites his lip.]

In my world, the X-Men and Brotherhood aren't missing. They just aren't, you know, relevant anymore. Mutants have an island nation.

[ Everything about what he'd just said made her uncomfortable. That had been what Reeva had wanted, what she had wanted before she'd realized the enormous cost of it all. To think that somewhere they actually accomplished that dream...well, she wasn't sure what to think. Or what to say. She ran a hand through her hair and swallowed. ]

Rule of thumb, Mutants always going to get issues from other people. It's sad.

Even if you do everything right, they'll still see the worst. Trust me, I know. Can't say it's not disappointing to hear it's... uh, multi-universal. [ that's so weird to say. ]
