third (lack of) sleep note. Unintentionally public.
Hey, can you come meet me at the office when it's time to get off of work? There's been this series of three guys who keep walking slow and hanging around and I just don't want to run into them alone when I'm on my way home.
[Alex's nerves have been up for a few days now, and they're present in her voice, but asking for someone to walk her someplace because she's worried? That's new, and probably bad given Alex's normal lack of self preservation.]

[Which is working a little bit, clearly.]

I guess it is a little bit. But I've never had people who are personally around me be so angry with me before. I mean Warren and the Ceonophus and the Death threats I got even before I started the Black Tapes, but this is weird. I mean, I was friendly with them before. It's almost like someone flipped a switch.

[ Guess who is about to go into overdrive stalking. ]

Let me know when you and Richard make it back to your place?

[She just assumes that its because she doesn't know what she's doing.]
If Richard is busy, I can come too. If you ever need someone.

[Even if she doesn't see him, she knows. Because Simon's Siimon.]
But I do appreciate the offer, Angel. I just don't want them to get angry with you too.

I'm more resilient than I look.
[She doesn't know either Simon or Richard very well and she isn't sure who might get angry at her, so it doesn't feel like something she should worry about.]
And the offer won't expire, should you change your mind.

[There's a slight bit of annoyance in his voice. He'd suspected, but she'd never come to him. He's more annoyed with himself though because he should have just followed her. He knows she's already neck deep in something with far less visible strings than he previously thought.
He's also on his way, even if it isn't time for her to get off. He'll just sit in her office and wait. Or so is his plan.]

[She wishes she was paranoid honestly, but considering everything. If she's asking she knows her gut is just in overdrive.]
I mean the first few times I just thought they were hanging around. But.
[But it feels like a lot more than that.]
