[video // @jackwynand56] second transmission.
[This video is in first person. It's also shaky, and any ambient sound in the area is completely overshadowed by the sound of Jack's heavy, panicked breathing.
The scene is much like everyone else's - blood, a severed communication device, and a healthy scattering of moss. But this time it's outside of Angel's door. Angel should have been safe, he'd checked on her, if he can't keep her safe then- then-
There's something metal on the floor. Even in the state he's in, he can't ignore something like that - his programming wouldn't let him. His left hand reaches out and a spark of electricity shoots from his fingers to the object. His hand is actually going pretty crazy at the moment, with his veins repeatedly illuminating and setting off sparks. Jack doesn't seem to notice this though, and snatches the piece up before opening his palm to show his audience.
Whatever it is, it looks like a broken key. It also looks very similar to whatever the Sphere is made of. Both of these are thoughts that do not cross Jack's mind - what does cross his mind is that this thing is important, and that he's going to destroy anything in his path to find his friend.
He stuffs the metal piece into his sweater, and the transmission ends.]

He can't think of words to say at the moment.]

Hey, Jack, right? I need you to stop so we can look around here to find her.

He whips around and a bolt of electricity, on par with a lightning bolt, arcs in John's direction.]

I know it's scary, okay, but I'm here to try and help find Angel and everyone else missing. She's your friend, right? Well, Laurie's my friend too and I just wanna find her.

But then she's back, and talking, and Jack slowly starts to unwind. Not much, but something like a stray dog watching food. Carefully, uneasily.]
How'd you do that? [He hesitates.] Aren't you hurt?
no subject
Can you take a deep breath, and not do it again though? It's still kinda scary. I don't like being scared either.
@DragonSlayer
That - what - what is that? What is that?
[Pardon him, he's a bit panicked at the moment.]
The fuckin' key, man! Oh - hang on -
[He broadcasts the view from his own eyes, looking down into his hand. There in the center is the other half of the key.]
D'you see this?

But when he sees the key fragment he focuses sharply on it, pulling his own fragment out and reasoning out how they would fit together-]
There's another one. Another piece, that's not all of it.
[He glances around and realizes that he actually still doesn't know the layout of the place.]
Where are you? I need that.

Fuckin’ — 206! It’s pod 206. [But you can see that.]

[It takes a bit to find his way there, but nothing stops a man with a purpose. And well, hopefully Rudy doesn't mind the smell when he does. Jack tends to smell pretty strongly of fish and tobacco.
At least his skin has stopped sparking. But he is holding a pipe wrench.]
Key. [He holds out his hand in a gesture that's more of a demand than a request.]
no subject
He's not going to not give Jack the key. He's just taking a second with it.]
D'you know what it's for?
[It's out of his pocket now. Jack could snatch it out of his hand, if he wanted.]
no subject
At the question, he just shakes his head idly. He puts his wrench back into his sweater and rummages in there a bit before pulling out his own piece. He connects them together, proving his theory that there's another chunk missing. They just don't look right like that.]
It'll help. I think.
[Or it will make things much, much worse. Tends to be one or the other in his experience.]
no subject
That's not the whole thing.
[He frowns.]
Well, where the bleedin' Christ is the other piece?
no subject
Where'd you get this?
[Both pieces are going in his sweater for safe keeping.]

Over here.
Video: theboneless
[Ivar's tone is a bit flat, like someone who has been watching reruns of a TV show for too long. He doesn't particularly care too much about people disappearing left and right, but considering that's what everyone is focused on right now, he's been being nosy and not at all very helpful.]

Jack doesn't reply in words, but he does (accidentally?) send a video of himself clutching his hands to his face and letting out an abstract yell of frustration. His hands are currently both shooting off electricity.]

That's not going to help anyone even if it makes you feel better.

[Jack's voice makes him sound like a grown man, but his tone is that of a child; thrill and desperate. He can't hurt someone who isn't physically there, so he's left feeling cornered.
A ripple of electricity shoots off of him, leaving his veins itching as the EVE leaves his body.]

Throwing a temper tantrum isn't going to solve anything.
