III; voice | something's changed...
[Those who know Aaron will likely recognize the voice, though there's something different in the quality, something harder but no less kind. He's also much less hesitant, direct.]
Good afternoon, everyone. Something...happened last night to Eric and I that I felt we should all be aware of. [There's a scoff before he continues. It's still a process to compute that 'last night' he was 6 years younger, and that so much time has passed and yet it hasn't.] Last night, he and I went to sleep and we dreamed of home, not just in the sense that we were homesick, but things happened, some things others from my world have told me would happen, exactly the way they said they would happen, and when we woke up, there was...physical evidence to go along with those memories.
[He takes a breath and allows that to sink in for a moment.]
In the span of one night here, 6 years passed for me, so if I'm a little...off, I'm adjusting. I just thought you all should be aware this can happen. The Sphere...neglected to mention that.

That's what all this is for. This is the bellows. [He pats the contraption he was recently pumping.]
It keeps oxygen going to the coals, there, to keep them hot enough to melt metal.

[He pokes around at the equipment, then activates his EchoEye to scan it and get a peek at the inner workings.]

[He shuts the eye off and turns back to Aaron.]
I've got measurements for a pair of braces. It's gonna take longer to work out fitting robotic replacements, but that's kind of a long story.

It's not that big a deal, Rhys. I haven't had a hand in...6 years. I can wait.

[He sighs, unsure of how much he should say. Getting the main issue out there would probably be best.]
It's Ivar that'll take time. He told me he has shapeshifting powers...I'll have to work around that.
Action
[And that's what he took away from that.]

[He shrugs, still not quite believing it.]

...I wouldn't mind seeing that.

You know, he's Ivar. He'll be pissed either way.

[He shrugs.]
I'm gonna need to check out the morphing process anyways before I start working on those prosthetics, and I'll likely record it. But if you want, you can be there with me.

You know, I think it'll be awkward enough as it is.

[Rhys scoffs, but there's a smile on his face again.]
