004: Memory Share 🌼 Giggles & Flowers
It's a perfect day. Warm tempered air lightly curls through the trees as a light spring breeze carries the sweet scent of pollen across a field of wild grass. The sun is warm and deliciously sweet as it lightly kisses the exposed stretches of lovely pale skin. Everything feels lighter; your clothes are sheer silk and wrapped around your slender frame in a way that makes it feel as if you're wearing nothing at all.
In front of you is another young woman. She looks to be seventeen and not unlike a certain angel. The girl's eyes are a deep emerald green with a sharp wit that made it seem as if she could see through anything. Her hair is a light chestnut brown, curling in loose ringlets around her shoulders. Her features are angular but stunning. Where angel is sweetness and light, this girl is devious with a mind that sought to bend and toy with the rules.
"I don't think that's a good idea." The voice is sweet, feminine and familiar to those who knew her.
Dark hair slides through her fingers as she begins to braid roses into her sister hair. "And why not? You might want to be a Keeper but that's so dull. Where is your sense of adventure?"
Angel laughs and shakes her head. "You have enough adventure for the both of us. How about something smaller to start?" Her head tilts and the view changes as she meets her sisters gaze. "Can you think of something else you'd like?"
The darker haired woman gently picks up one of the roses and begins to carefully pluck off its thorns. "Fine then." Her voice is brisk and terse but it only lasts a moment before her displeasure ebbs and another idea rises to hers lips. "A tattoo of a rose. We'll both get one and it'll be the start of our adventure." She plucked a petal off a rose and tossed it behind her. "It's perfect for us. We're lovely and covered with thorns."
"A tattoo?" The replying voice is warm, skeptical but also a little excited. It's obvious that she doesn't do things like this. "Alright. I promise. We will both get roses."
"You could sound more excited." The dark haired woman tosses a rose at your face and the scene breaks out into a fit of giggles and flowers.

What a lovely day. Is this your sister?
audio;
[A beat.]
She is my sister but it's a little complicated. At the time, she hadn't known that. Actually, [It's only because it's Alec that she continues to try and explain her situation.] we're twins and where I'm from... twins are a bad omen.
So it was a secret for a long time. I didn't know until I was sixteen

Was it a bad omen?
no subject
It was.
Even now, I hurt everyone I get close to. Well. It isn't me, not exactly, but bad things happen to the people I get close to.

[She hasn't felt her sisters presences for some time.]
It might be because we're between worlds. I don't... know.

[It's absolutely her sister that's the troublesome one.]

Maria, she got hers in the same place.
[She sounds a little sad when she says her sisters name but she tries her best to cover it up.]
Re: audio
I’m sorry. Is it a good reminder of things or a bad one?
audio
[Her voice softens and gains a wistful edge to it.]
Memories change over time, as our relationship with people change. It's happy. This is one of my most treasured memories but it's sad too because it's gone and it can't come back.
[She hopes that makes sense.]
no subject
I understand that. I'm glad that you have the memory of that time though, and the tattoo to go with it.

I never want to forget the happy times we had. [Her tongue nervously flicks across her lips.] It reminds me of what I'm fighting for.
no subject
That’s always a good thing. What were some other happy times?

[Ivar himself has his fair share of tattoos on his skin, though none are visible.]
Video:
It's on the front of my shoulder. I can show you.
[She might be bad at describing exactly where it is.]

[Vikings tended to acquire them over a lifetime, putting them on to signify big life events, meaningful symbols, or to invoke the power of runes.]

Can you see it?
[She's never sure with video's like these.]

Very nice. Much more detailed then mine, but then we only have the poke and stick method back home.
[Very painful to get a tattoo where they had to ram the ink under your skin in a method much more extreme then using a modern day tattoo needle.]

[Her world doesn't have modern day tattoo methods but something similar to what the Samoan's cultures use.] I had it touched up when I arrived on Earth. They added a bit of the shading.
I was told it'd look nicer and I didn't mind.
[It had been a new start and it'd felt right.]

[She reminds him very much of a flower.]
What was your world like before you came to Earth?
[He's heard of many different worlds and is always curious to learn about more. It's a rather heady feeling to think of how many different ones are out there in the multiverse.]

[Her tattoo means a lot to her.]
My home was... beautiful. There were wild fields and warm purple skies. [It never rains in her home world.] There were flowers that you can't find anywhere else and these lovely blue, yellow and white lights that used to dance across the fields at night, like fireflies but a little bit brighter.
It's a very peaceful place.
