[There's no message, just this,followed by laughter. The laughter doesn't sound right. It's like nails on chalkboard and static all at once.]

[The laugh is sickening]

It will. This is a nightmare. Besides Richard is Richard and you can’t hold him forever. So I guess we can just stand here and chat and wait and see who’s right or you can just let him go.

[A sick smirk that doesn't look as if it belongs on Richard's face begins to show as he decides to demonstrate.]

[His hands don't move, but Alex can feel them around her throat, and she scratches as them as whatever psychic hold is blocking her breath. Quickly, she just gasps, and tries to catch air.]

How do you think he would feel if I did so?

[The grp loosens enough for her to be able to croak out an answer.]

[The words are a hissed spit as Alex tries to breathe, her hands still scrambling against her throat.]

Oh, I know. I can hear him, screaming in mis head.

Stop it. Just. Stop.

[It's clear that Alex doesn't mean for herself--she can handle this. No, what she means it for is for Richard, and his getting through all of this.

And what happens when he's back to normal again.]

[The laughter that comes from Richard is inhuman.]

Richard.

[Alex's voice is soft, and it's concerned, and yes there's fear in it. But it's not fear for herself, despite the way the scratches that both the demon and Alex herself have made on the delicate skin on her neck have started to steadily drip down onto the white of her shirt collar.]

This isn't you.

[The smirk grows before Richard's whole body colapses to the floor.]

[Instantly, Alex is on the ground next to him, still gasping, but there as she reaches out to touch his neck and make sure that she can feel the pulse within it, because she doesn't trust the demon not to have killed him.]

[His eyes are hooded as he breathes slowly, trying to look over to her.]

It's, over?

[He may not be looking at her, but Alex leans over and dots a kiss to the top of his head, sighing with relief.]

I think it is, yeah. Let's get you out of here, okay?

Good.

[Still, he doesn't move, not yet.]
