[Is Alex entirely ignoring the fact that she thinks that any of these new memories might turn into an entire nightmare soon? Oh, you bet. So, instead she's going to be focusing on something entirely different and way more important:]
Okay, so if the calendar here is right, we're coming up to October 14th, and that means that it's an important holiday. And no, I don't just mean two weeks to Halloween. [Is that an entirely audible grin in her voice? Yep.] October 14th is Thanksgiving. Proper Canadian Thanksgiving and no overly commercialized tomorrow starts Christmas stuff. Because it's definitely actually a Canadian thing first.
So, I'm gonna do a dinner. A proper Thanksgiving dinner. Don't worry, I'm not going to cook the meal or anything, I'm not that dumb. And I'm not going to make Richard cook it either, because I'm not that much of an asshole. I'm ordering it from one of the restaurants. We're going to have all of the fixings: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries not from a can, Roasted Heirloom Squash with Mushrooms and Montaña Cheese Fonduta Filling, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie (both real and American) and of course Nanaimo bars and butter tarts. Those I'll be making. And I actually can make them.
[Probably.]
But the invitation is open to anyone who wants to come. It'll be in the dining room in Dome 3 between five and seven in the evening. If you've got food from home that you'd like to add, please feel free to bring it! I look forward to seeing you there.

So you’re going to come? It definitely isn’t going to be something I’m celebrating being thankful for if you’re not there, love.

I'll come.

I did try to make it easier on you, you know. Not at our dome, not having you cook and everything. And I got a hell of a lot of scotch from max already.

Are you making fun of me, Dr. Strand?

Oh come on Richard. We have literally been here and together for almost a year. It’s not really a surprise to anyone that spoiler alert! We have sex.
