You've been with Nysander for several months now. Kicked from the court like a thief once your relationship with Korathan was discovered. Thrown out without Korathan speaking a single word for you. What you had wasn't love, you knew that well enough, but it still stung like a knife wound. It was only thanks to Nysander and his belief in your ability to become a wizard that you weren't on the street scrounging for survival.
Except you've been a complete miserable failure with that as well. All your spells turn out wrong or burst into a disaster. No matter how much guidance he's given you, you can't seem to return the faith he has in you. It's begun to eat a hole in you, pushing you deeper into the melancholy that you've been fighting since your exile. These are the things that cause the Aurenfaie to take their lives when they're exiled. This firm grasp of how much you don't belong, how you'll never belong in the world of the Tir.
This is a simple spell, one that you're sure you can do without messing it up. This time, this time you'll be able to do it right, and you'll be able to prove Nysander's faith in you justified.
