Accidental Video [OPEN]

[Enis is working in the shop when she sees a figure form at the edge of her vision. She's never been really good with customers and usually defers them to Rhys however her bio-mechanical counterpart isn't here at the moment. With a heavy sigh Enis begins to set down her work.]

If you're here for an order it's probably not done yet.

[When she hears no reply she looks over her shoulder and jumps to her feet. Her fingers rise to her temple and while she intends to send a private message to Rhys, she instead sends it to everyone. They can see what she sees, which is a ghostly form of Rhys standing in the middle of the shop.]

What the fuck is this?!

[She knows that day of the dead is a thing but this is the first time Enis has seen a ghost of someone she knows. Someone who is absolutely not dead yet.]

Rhys you aren't dead.

[Enis had meant it as a question but it comes out as a very firm statement. He is not allowed to die until she says so.]

[Well, OK, so, what the hell? He's seen some weird shadows here and there himself, but not full on ghost apparitions. This is really freaky.]

[She's frustrated at her surprise and at the fact that apparently everyone has seen it.]

Uh, yeah, I'm on my way. [He'd just left his pod when the video had come through.] Don't worry, it'll be okay.

[It doesn't take him long to reach the shop, especially since the urgency of this little incident had urged him into a run. He's a little out of breath when he enters.]

[Enis doesn't answer him. Instead she kicks Rhys in the shin (hard) and then plants a kiss on him. She's both pissed and happy to see him.]

Over there.

[She tilts her head in the far corner where the Rhys ghost has now begun to work at Rhys's usual table.]

Why the fuck didn't you tell me you died? [She knows that it's not really that important, or wouldn't have been if his ghost hadn't appeared. Obviously, Rhys is not dead.]

OW--[The shriek of pain is barely out of his mouth before he's kissed. He's still pouting when she pulls away, though.]

I...didn't think it was important? It happened way before you got here, when this moss stuff tried to take over. Alex, the council, and a few others were abducted and the communicators were ripped out of our heads. We got rid of it, though, so I don't see how it's relevant.

[He glances over to...himself. The figure is a bit flickery, like a candle flame almost.]

I guess he's--I'm a ghost?

[Pouting is probably the correct reaction to Enis's hot and cold approach to the situation. She is entirely outside of her comfort zone and she is no okay with it.]

So I've heard. Alex has told me some.

[She points to the image of him. It isn't too graphic but it shows where the communicator has been torn from behind his ear.]

It's no relevant.

And you aren't a ghost. [She wants to make that clear.] That thing is a ghost and it's your image.

[Enis takes a deep breath.]

Yes. Startled is the word I'd use.

Was it like him from before? When he was kidnapped?

I wouldn't know. I wasn't here for that.

[This is the first she's heard about it.]

When I first arrived the sphere was flooding.

Oh no. I'm sorry. Sometimes I forget.

[Because there's been so many people arriving and leaving, the terms that they were can be unclear to Alex unless she's looking at notes or something.]

Was he bleeding? From his head?

[Enis waves away the concern. She doesn't care if Alex doesn't remember, it isn't really that important.]

He was killed back then?

Yeah, a few of us were. Our communication devices were removed.

That's fucked up since the sphere put them in.

[She's trying not to be pissed about it but she is. It's what happens when you start caring about someone. Damn Rhys.]
