Hello everyone and- Merry Chris-mass! [She pronounces it wrong, still trying to get a hang of the new words and holidays. But she was told that's what you say, so she's going to say it, and smile.]

I wanted to let everyone know that my older brother is here! If you see a handsome, brooding man, chin-length black hair, bit of a beard, dressed in all black, that's likely Jon Snow. He can be a bit of an idiot, but he's my brother all the same- a true Stark. [One of two brothers she had left.]

If you see him, reach out. He could use the break afforded to us here, in a manner of speaking.

[It's hard, being the true heir to the Iron Throne, she imagines.] It's good to have him here.

Do I not count? [she teases him to lighten the mood. She’d told Theon a few weeks ago she would marry him if she could. His rebuke, made for what she knew he thought were the right reasons, stung deep.]

I can legitimize any bastards I bear. But I am sure no man exists that would wish to marry a Queen if he cannot be King.

[king_inthenorth]

Of course you count. [She counts more than he does, or ever would even if he hadn't renounced all family ties. There's no legitimizing him now.]

That might depend on the queen.

And who is there to marry? We’re not exactly teeming with eligible bachelors.

I believe I’ll stick with my consorts, for now.

[king_inthenorth]

Someone will need to keep them in line, then.

[toivory]

Oh, of course.

I apologize, Jon. That was a lot to tell you all at once.

[king_inthenorth]

I don't think it could have been told a little at a time.

It explains a few things too, I suppose.

Like what? I’m curious now.

[king_inthenorth]

Like the dragon. It let me touch it. I can't say why, obviously, but there must have been a reason for it.

Or the time when Stannis Baratheon said that he didn't believe that Ned Stark would have produced a bastard.

Jon. The dragon lets you ride it into battle. That should have told everyone.

He was too honorable. But Robert believed it- and so did we.

[king_inthenorth]

Ride it?

I think Robert believing it was the most important part.

[toivory]

[She nods] after it eats all our sheep, yes. They’re magnificent creatures. Truly a wonder to behold.

Robert was never particularly smart- he believed Cersei’s children were his, after all.

[king_inthenorth]

They certainly are.

Which doomed all seven of the kingdoms to war.

If Joffrey hadn’t killed father...

Which he wouldn't have done if Robert hadn't died. I'm not saying Robert was a great king, but at least we had one and there was nothing to right over.

[toivory]

No, Robert was a terrible king. He was a drunken whoremonger, to hear Cersei say it.

[king_inthenorth]

I wouldn't believe everything Cersei Lannister said. But you knew him better than I did.

He drank more than she did.

[king_inthenorth]

It sounds like Lyanna was...lucky might not be the right word. But better off not married to Robert.

Sansa, if the one living person who knew the whole story died well before he told anyone, how is it that you know this?

[toivory]

She followed her heart, and a true love like that is a rarity.

Well... [This is awkward.] You told me. Bran confirmed it, as well as Samwell Tarley. His girlfriend, Gilly, was the one to discover it, she said.

[Girlfriend and boyfriend were new words she'd learned. It was fun to use them in a sentence. Also Gilly deserved credit, damn it.]

[king_inthenorth]

[It's not like he didn't believe her, but knowing that this information came from, well, himself, while strange, is further confirmation of what she's saying. Bran and Sam being part of it, too.]

Girlfriend. If that means what I think it means, good for Sam. [It's not like he didn't know that about Sam.]

Good for Gilly, too.

[toivory]

I believe it does. It's courtship, of a sort. You're dating. If you're no longer with someone, you've broken up and they are now your ex. In case you ever need to know.

[She nods] She's a sweet girl. And Sam's a good man as well. They're in King's Landing now, Sam serving on Bran's council as Maester.

[king_inthenorth]

The Night's Watch will still need a new maester then.

Maesters aren't supposed to have...girlfriends.

[Neither are men of the Night's Watch, Jon.]

[toivory]

You'll have to find one, then. I'll be on the look-out, see if there's anyone I can send your way.

Neither are member's of the Night's Watch. [She gives him a look.]

[king_inthenorth]

Or send a raven to Oldtown. They might have somewhere there willing to join the Watch.

[Someone like Maester Aemon, maybe; someone who's already taken one oath to forgo any claims has no reason not to take a second oath to do the same.]

I didn't intend to break any vows. It was...part of getting them to believe that I really was a deserter.

[He doesn't know what that look means, Sansa, but thanks for that painful reminder.]

I'll do that for you.

[She frowns hard.] A deserter? With Daenerys Targaryen? I'm not sure I follow.
