[ Here's a YOUUUUTH, drunk off of moon-themed cocktails, laying back on a park bench, a red cloak spread out beneath him. It's totally at odds with the rest of his outfit: ratty jeans, a Hawaiian shirt, and a leather bomber jacket. But damn it, he's rocking the Lil Red Riding Hood look all the same.

And he's singing, eyes closed, seemingly to himself. Just, y'know, tipsy and enjoying all the celebration and revelry going on. ]

Under blue moon I saw you... So so~ooon you'll take me... up in your arms, too late to beg you, or cancel it though I know it must be: the killing time. [ He smiles dreamily, exhaling. ] Unwillingly mine...

[ Now he opens his eyes. It's harder to seem all chill and laid back when he's actually looking at... whoever the hell this message is for. There's a haunted look in his eyes, and his smile seems forced, almost a grimace. It's the smile of a hostage trying to assure their would-be rescuers that everything's fine! ]

Hey, whoever the werewolf is, can you come and bite me already? [ He makes a face, wrinkling his nose, as if really thinking on it. ] That's how the game's played, right?

[ Jeff immediately takes a slice and starts eating like he hasn't in days. Which isn't totally inaccurate, since he certainly hasn't eaten since waking up here. Which means he probably shouldn't have drank a bunch of cocktails. Or scarf down a greasy slice of pizza like a starving stray dog.

He does, at least, hold the box out to her in offering, even while devouring his slice. Multitasking! ]

[Alex takes the slice and eats it more delicately than he is, but she'd eaten before. She's gotten about half it gone before she sets it on a napkin on the bench and takes a drink before offering him the bottle.]

It's not the best, but it's definitely better than Chicago pizza. That stuff is like a brick.

[cacophonish]

I only had that Chicago shit once before. [ He makes a face at the memory. ] It made me puke.

[ But to be fair, he was almost certainly wasted at the time. A lot of food's made him puke, and he hasn't exactly sworn it all off. ]

Tasted good going down, though. Just not when it came back up.

[11calls]

I think it's kind of like... fried tomato pie. It's okay for what it is but don't put the title of pizza on it, you know?

[Alex takes another bite of her pizza, and then takes the bottle and adds another sip of it.]

Most foods taste better going down, I think. Though I can't believe we've gone from a cool conversation about werewolves to puke.

[It's said good-naturedly, and Alex's smile is audible.]

I've got a lot more experience with one than the other...

[ SORRY ABOUT THAT. ]

You wanna talk werewolves some more? Which one's your favorite? Mine's the one in the Scooby Doo thing.

[11calls]

I like the Scooby Doo one. And the original Wolfman. From the 40s, back before tropes were you know, tropes. The one with Lon Chaney Jr is the best one, I think. I love all those old horror movies.

[A pause.]

So, are you a singer normally? You have a really good voice.

[cacophonish]

Oh, uh, I've never seen it. I don't really watch a lot of... old... movies. They're so sloooow.

[ He shoots a brief smile in response to the compliment, then starts to shove another slice of pizza into his mouth. It's almost like he's trying to avoid giving an answer at first, but after a few bites, he nods. ]

Yeah. And I play the guitar. Had a band for a while. [ Jeff laughs. ] A pretty boy with a guitar and big dreams. We're a dime a fucking dozen in LA.

[11calls]

Seattle too. That’s where I am. I know a lot of people in bands there.

[The words don’t have any sort of judgement in them—it’s perfectly acceptable to her for someone to be that. But she can also tell that he doesn’t really want to talk about it so she just adds kindly:]

If it helps any, they don’t seem to be a dime a dozen here. Might be something to look into.

[cacophonish]

[ Despite his mixed feelings about music-- well, the pursuit of music-- Jeff can't help that little spark of yearning and desire as soon as she floats the possibility.

The problem is, he can't tell if it's him or the demon that wants it more. The fact that they're both into the idea is scary enough. It's reason enough to brush it off.

But Jeff has never been one to make good decisions, so instead he smiles in response. ]

Might be. Know where a guy could get a guitar around here?

[11calls]

[Alex just considers for a moment. She'd have a more concise answer if she was herself, but a general one is better than none at all.]

There's probably someone who has one in the market dome.
