Okay this is so stupid but what is this color called? Like it's right there on the tip of my tongue but...

[But then, appearing entirely out of nowhere is a dragon. A blue dragon made of stars who just kind of hovers and stares at Alex. She doesn't do anything but raise a hand out to her, palm up and extended before she softly says:]

Hello Bjart. Your mom is looking for you.

[Bjart just huffs at Alex, hovering in the air, and Alex holds very very still with some tension in her. The not-quite-stare down lasts for a full thirty seconds before Apophenia barks but just once like a warning, and Bjart just quickly turns and flies away.

Alex's voice is a little breathless.]

Charis, I found her. She's in the agricultural dome. Or just was. I can't see her anymore.

[And no one besides Charis has ever heard him sound that way before. It's fond, almost parental.]

[And that he says with a bit of satisfaction. At least he may have worked out where he went wrong with this spell. It's not a complete loss.]

[He blinks at the feed for a moment.]

If you'd like to play the bait, that could be beneficial.

[Richard is surprisingly calm, considering that Alex is staring down a dragon.]

Blue. Really dumb thing to forget considering your eyes. But yeah, blue.

[She's okay now that the dragon is gone but also oof.]

[He has some ideas as to what asshole would go screwing with people's memories.]

[Cause you know. Dragon. And Alex is an easy meal-sized person.]

Regardless of it's parentage, I doubt she's going to come back to eat you.

[Is that a slight toward Loki? Yes. Is that him acknowledging Dragons exist? Probably not.]

And you mean blue right?

Yeah. I mean blue.

I think she's hungry.

Why do I feel like someone's responsible for that? [ Probably because Loki already admitted to doing something. It's always Loki isn't it? ]

I'm sure she's starving, she hasn't gotten her usual feedings.

[Alex knows what Richard is saying, even if she doesn't want to talk about it.]

But she didn't even go back and look for food? I know that cats do that sometimes when they get out.

No, I think Loki's spell was a little too good at keeping where she was hidden. [ And thus the dragon couldn't find her way back. Add another check mark to the it seemed like a good idea at the time pile. ]

She's beautiful! A bit different from the ones we've seen at home, but I don't think I'd mind meeting her. Seems a fair bit friendlier.

Yeah, I'm okay. Just was surprised is all. I've seen a lot of things, but a dragon made out of stars isn't one of them.

[And there’s a quiet sigh before she adds:]

[Oh, wow... This is the first glimpse Watts has gotten of Bjart, and he’s impressed. What a magnificent creature... And that it had only displayed a curious nature towards Alex is a good sign. It might help sooth some of the panic he knew was going around about her.

Bjart seems to be the same mm... colour as the leash too. She seems more curious about you though, than anything.

Someone was kind enough to tell me it was blue, and that feels right.

Apparently it was some sort of stupid joke. I guess it worked, huh?

[he hummed thoughtfully, before deciding she must be right.]

That sounds like the right word anyway... But a joke? Aren’t jokes meant to be humorous?

[Alex just sighs, because she likes Loki. When he's not being a fucking idiot anyway.]

Ah... He had seemed so clever when I met him, but I suppose we’re all prone to pulling something stupid once in a while.

[He frowned, because seriously that was really stupid Loki. He forgets enough as it is without losing words.]

Is he an idiot often, then?

[It would be good to know if he should be prepared for more weirdness like this.]
