Voice - Announcement. [ota] un; wanda

Hello. For those who do not know me, my name is Wanda Maximoff.

[Her voice is direct and informative.]

I am reaching out today to inform those living within the domes that Loki and Charis have both left. In the way of their absence, I have taken over the care for Bjart. For those who do not know her, she is a dragon and has a recent history of escaping her home. She is being trained and I am looking after her now but I thought it best to inform those living here.

If you stumble across her, please do not interrupt the magic that keeps her constricted to the abandoned dome. I would like people to visit and help her train. She needs to get used to others, besides myself, and I think introducing people to her one on one would help. This is only when I am there to keep her and you safe.

[It's not creative but it's one of the reasons Wanda likes it.]

[It wasn't creative in the least bit.]

[He heads out and if he gets there a little early, then he's at least there for when she shows up.]

[It takes Wanda a little longer to arrive but she isn't later. Her hair is pulled into a messy bun that looks like it was quickly flipped into place to avoid some disaster. It's only when she arrives that she's tugging her hair down from the tight clip.

She spots Grayson after a moment of looking at the tables and approaches with a warm smile.]

I hope I'm not late.

[Dick leans back in his seat and gives her a small smile. Hair up or down, she was still pretty and he's sure that she knows it. No matter how much of a mess it looked.]

Not late at all. Just in time, actually.

I'm glad. I wouldn't want to keep you waiting.

[Wanda takes the seat across from him before glancing around to meet the gaze of a waiter or waitress nearby. Her attention quickly returns before she exhales a tired sigh. Wanda has never really focused on her appearance before but Bjart was running her ragged and she hadn't wanted anyone to find out, least of all her son.]

I'm excited for a chance to relax and do nothing for a change. It's an... unusual feeling.

[This is what happens when you are suddenly the guardian of a large dragon.]

Even if you had, it wouldn't of been too bad.

[Honestly, if Wanda had been late he probably wouldn't of said so. No need for her to think anything except for the fact that she's on time.]

Well, I'm going to see about getting you out and relaxing quite a bit. Even with a sudden dragon around.

[When the waiter does show up, he gives them a nod and his order before letting them get Wanda's.]

[Her smile breaks into a light chuckle.]

Thank you.

[She orders some black coffee and a blueberry muffin.]

How have you been? It's been some time since we've spoken.

You're welcome.

[He watches the waiter go off to get their drink and food before looking over at her.]

I've been doing pretty well. Thinking about things, back home, some what. How've you been?

Good. I haven't really had time to think about things at home.

[Wanda pauses, her lips pressing into a thin frown.]

I'm not sure I want to return to Earth. My son is here. He's from another Universe but I still think of him as my son and he's the only family I have left. It's selfish but I've been wrestling with this feeling for awhile now.

There are others there. With myself and Gar here, it makes me wonder and worry a bit.

[He notices that frown and reaches over placing his hand over hers.]

It's not selfish, Wanda. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be where family is.

[Wanda glances up and meets Dick's gaze, surprised at the soft gesture.]

Thank you for saying so. [Her expression softens and for a moment, she keeps her hand beneath his.] I just worry. The world is constantly getting into trouble and I am one of its defenders.

There's always been a greater purpose than my own happiness and every time I find it, it's taken away again. I wonder if that's what I am supposed to do. [It's easy to feel guilty despite the fact that she's done nothing wrong.]

Trust me, I know what it's like to be your city's defender. I'm one of Gotham's.

[Which is another reason that he worries about not being home, where the others were.]

Here? We can actually have happiness. Home? We have to fight to defend the city. Happiness? If we do have it, can be ripped away from us.

Yeah.

[She turns her hand over and gently squeezes his hand. It's a sweet gesture though Wanda hasn't ever been intimate for long, so as the waitress returns with their order she moves her hands back.]

We're in the same position then. Do you mind if I ask about those you left at home? Your team.

[He gives a soft smile when she squeezes his hand, though notes the waitress and nods once their orders are in front of them.]

Which would you like to know about?

[Honestly? He knows that some were seen in memories. Even if he can't remember which ones were seen by who. That was hard to keep up with. Even in a place such as this.]

Whichever you're comfortable speaking about. [She cups her coffee and takes a light tentative sip before placing it down in front of her. The warmth seeps through her fingers and she feels herself slowly relaxing. It's a simple pleasure but it's nice...]

If you don't mind. I am curious about your team. I've trained with a few people myself and I have heard some from my son but I think its different for everyone.

[Whichever he was comfortable talking about. That was, sometimes, a new concept for him. No one cared what he was comfortable with. That wasn't entirely true, not really. Things just happened differently.]

There was Donna Troy. I'm pretty sure she's one that you saw a memory of a while back. She was an amazing woman and my best friend. Very capable fighter too.

I remember.

[Wanda smiles over the brim of her cup, taking the occasional sips as they spoke.] She looks amazing. Were you two teammates?
