Voice - Announcement. [ota] un; wanda

Hello. For those who do not know me, my name is Wanda Maximoff.

[Her voice is direct and informative.]

I am reaching out today to inform those living within the domes that Loki and Charis have both left. In the way of their absence, I have taken over the care for Bjart. For those who do not know her, she is a dragon and has a recent history of escaping her home. She is being trained and I am looking after her now but I thought it best to inform those living here.

If you stumble across her, please do not interrupt the magic that keeps her constricted to the abandoned dome. I would like people to visit and help her train. She needs to get used to others, besides myself, and I think introducing people to her one on one would help. This is only when I am there to keep her and you safe.

[The large dragon snorts warm air across the detective's torso before carefully sniffing the outstretched hand. There was only a brief moment of tension and then Bjart leaned against the light touch with a rumble that could either be a purr or a growl.

Wanda, for her part, smiled.]

She likes you.

[Llewellyn looked at the dragon curiously, brows raising a little at the rumbling sound that escaped it as it leaned into his hand.

... Was that good? It wasn’t barring teeth or anything, maybe it didn’t mind him?

His shoulders relaxed, and a rather delighted smile crossing his face as Wanda confirmed that Bjart actually liked him. A dragon liked him!]

Really? I’m... glad.

You’re very sweet, Bjart. I uh— I’m glad to finally get to meet you properly.

[He mumbled, gently running a hand over the dragons scales.]

But, as long as she likes my presence... I’d certainly like to offer to help with anything you think I might be capable with?

[Wanda inclines her head in a slow nod.] Keeping her company is always a help but I don't want to put you in harms way. She's still learning her own strength.

[She smiles at the large creature.]

But she's good at meeting people one on one like this. It's crowds that I am worried about.

I can understand the concern. Crowds can be... stressful. Too much noise makes it hard to figure out where to focus. Makes one more prone panic a bit...

But once she’s a little more used to me and learned, I would be happy to help keep her company when you get busy?

[Wanda's expression softens.] They can be but I don't think its right to keep Bjart in a cage either. For all we know, this was her home first.

It doesn't feel right to me.

[She exhales a tired sigh and takes a seat next to Bjart.]

I'd like that. I am not here all the time. I've been here more lately and I sometimes study here but I have classes and I try and help out around the businesses.

It's more than I imagined but I've never been a mother, not until I arrived here.

Yes, from what I remember Charis saying, they found the egg here...?

[Bjart might be right where she was meant to be, unlike the rest of them.

Llewellyn did pause, raising a brow a little. It seemed Wanda was very busy indeed, even without taking on raising a young dragon.]

Well it sounds like you could definitely use the odd break then, I could probably bring my notes or a book to read over while I keep her company in your place. Mm... Not sure if a dragon likes to be read to but?

[A small, vague shrug. He was sure he could figure it out.]

Well... There’s a first time for everything, and you seem to have taken to being Bjart’s mother well?

Yeah.

[She smiles up at Bjart as they talk.]

It'd been in the cavern I had explored with a few others during the leak. There had been undead down there. I have a feeling that her mother had fallen victim to those bone monsters. [It'd been a weird hallway.]

She likes to listen.

[Wanda smiles.]

I have two children in the sphere now. I'm not sure I want to return home knowing that they are counting on me.

[Llewellyn might have wanted to ask half a dozen questions about bone monsters and this mysterious cavern since he hadn’t heard that story... But he got a bit hung up in his surprise to hear she had children here. This was something he hadn’t known.]

Two? I didn’t know that—

[And considering how protective he felt of the younger arrivals he’d met? He could certainly understand not wanting to leave, especially after learning a little more about the worlds they were from.

Still, he wondered if he knew either of them.]

Which children?

[Wanda smiles fondly as she answers his the detectives question.]

It'd be difficult to guess. His name is Tommy. I don't know if you've met him but in an alternate universe, he is one of my son's. Now I have Bjart too.

I am lucky that they are in my life.

[That sounded complicated, but... well he supposed that wasn’t as strange as some of the things he’d learned since arriving here.]

I haven’t met him yet? But uh— young Beverly speaks of him once in a while. She’s very fond of him, and concerned. Called him her brother, and that he could be dumb about how good he is, if I recall correctly.

[It had been a while since that conversation, but he got the sense that Tommy was a good person to have others who cared about him that much.]

Family, even from an alternate world, is good... I’m glad you found him here. Both Tommy and Bjart are certainly just as lucky to have you in their life, from what I can tell.

[Wanda nods her head.]

Being born with powers makes things complicated but I think this world is good for Tommy. He's able to be himself. It'll just take time, like any young adult, to learn about the person they want to be.
