[ Turning on a network feed hadn't been completely intentionally -- whether it was some base instinct or an accident in panic is neither here nor there and Stan wouldn't be able to tell anyone anyway.

The sound that comes across is uneven and panicked breathing, sobbing and gasps for air when he couldn't get a breath in edgewise. ]

Beverly! Richie! Eddie!

[ He yells. ]

Why'd you leave me alone again. You left me alone.

[ The distress is clear and Stan will be mortified and a little traumatized when the nightmare leaves his dome. ]

( honestly Eddie doesn't pay all that much attention to the network, but it's hardly a surprise that this one gets his attention. he's immediately alert and responding...not that it'll do much good. Stan is scared, and whatever has Stan that scared has got to be pretty awful. )

Stan?! ( he doesn't mean to, but Eddie ends up yelling back. ) Stan, we didn't leave you anywhere! Stan? What's happening?

[ By the time Eddie had finished talking the nightmare had lifted but there's still the panic and his heart racing and everything felt wrong.

Another sob escapes him as he tries to calm down. ]

Eddie why'd you guys leave?

[ Because it's going to take a minute for Stan's normal rationality and sensibility to return. ]

We didn't, we didn't go anywhere!

( the thing is, Stan is probably the most rational person Eddie knows – if something is scaring him then it must be worth freaking out over. )

I'm still right here. I swear! Did something hurt you?

Yes you did! I was alone!

[ It felt so real. ]

[Richie scrambles to call, and when Stan doesn't immediately answer, he kind of loses it. All he can think about is Stan, panicked and alone, convinced Richie has abandoned him. He wouldn't ever, and he needs Stan to know it. He has to know.]

[After spamming Stan in a panic, Richie huffs out a deep breath in frustration and tries calling again, his heart in his throat.]

C'mon, c'mon, c'mon...

Richie..?

Stan. God, I'm sorry. I swear we didn't go anywhere. It's just this fucking place messing with us again. Where are you?

My dome...

[ Stan's still trying to calm down but it's hard because he's still alone in his dome and the fear is still clutching at him. ]

Don't move an inch, alright? If I'm any longer than three minutes- and count that shit out fair, Stanley! No skipping odds or evens on me! Two minutes, or you can have my whole comic collection here, I swear to god.

[It's meant to be a distraction, something to make Stanley laugh, or maybe just keep him occupied until Richie gets there, which with any luck will be under that time limit. He doesn't have far to go, and he doesn't bother knocking on Stan's door when he arrives, just barging in like he lives there too and making a beeline to Stan's side, where he only hesitates a second before pulling him into a hug.]

[ Sometimes, Richie proves himself to be a good friend. He knows Stan and giving him a very specific task to focus on helps him calm down -- a little anyway at least he's not totally freaking out anymore.

He jumps slightly when the other bursts through his door and his eyes were wide when the other's right there.

He feels like he'll start crying again when Richie hugs him and he just hugs him back after a moment of hesitation. ]

It felt like in the sewers and I was lost and you all left me alone in there.

[ Did richie even know about that? ]

[It's not the longest hug in the world, but even when Richie pulls back, he keeps a hand rested on Stan's shoulder, trying his best to remain reassuring.]

The sewers-? Is this some more shit I haven't seen yet?

Yeah... I guess...

[ Stan says with his voice uneven and shaky. He closes his eyes as he pulls away from the hug and he tries to stay calm even as that memory is so loud and hard to suppress. ]

[Richie purses his lips, feeling frustrated. He doesn't know what to say or do about it when it hasn't even fucking happened yet for him. He squeezes Stan's shoulder, leaning down to so that their eyes are level, even if Stan's are closed.]

I'm not leaving you. I swear. Alright?

Stan? Stan listen. It's just a nightmare. I'm still here. I promise I'm still here. I'd never leave you alone. Where are you?

[Bev's voice is concerned but also firm, because she'd never do that to him. Never.]

[ Stan's trying to stop crying and at least her voice is getting through to him. ]

My dome. Bev... everybody left me again.

No, it's just a nightmare. It's happened before. It's just a nightmare, Stan. We're still here.

It doesn't feel like a nightmare, Bev.

[ Or maybe it does since it's completely irrational. She's talking to him so obviously she's still here but the feeling that he'd been left alone by himself is hard to shake. ]

Where are you?

My dome...

Okay, Stan. I'm just outside, come out. It's okay. I promise I'm still here.

You just have to walk out of the nightmare.

[ It takes a little bit for Stan to leave his dome, trying to calm down his racing heart as he sees Beverly. He reaches for her without a word and hugs his arms around her tightly, his face pressing into her shoulder. ]

[Beverly just wraps her arms tightly around him in return and says softly:]

It's okay. You're safe, Stan. You're not alone. I won't ever chose to leave you, okay?

[ Usually, Stan wouldn't linger in a hug or anything like that but he still is sort of clinging to her as if he lets go she'd disappear again. ]

Okay. Okay.

[ Stan believes her but he's still shaken. ]

[Bev knows that he wouldn't do it if it hadn't shaken him so badly. So, she's just going to hold onto him until he's ready to let go of her.]

Good, cause I mean it.

It still feels real.

[ Stan mumbles, it's hard to calm down completely when the fear is still present. It's not that he's still affected by the nightmare but it coincided with one of his deepest fears. ]

It's the nightmare. It's just the nightmare. I know it feels real but it will go away.

[Bev means it, because it always does even if the memories of them always seem to remain.]

[ Stan nods and keeps trying to keep his focus on his breathing desperately wanting to calm down much quicker. ]

I’m always scared of it...

I know you are. That’s why I came to find you right away.

I feel like someday it really will happen.

[Bev just frowns at that, because she knows what happens when they need to go back to Derry, she knows why it happens and even though it breaks her heart, she understands why Stan thinks that he needs to do it.

But that's twenty-seven years away and that's definitely not now. So she just says softly:]

You're never going to be alone while I have the choice to make it so that you're not okay? And I'm sure Eddie and Richie would say the same thing.
