Um guys... [Beverly is currently between the Strand Reagan pod and the Aaron and Eric pod. It's Sunday night, and she was coming over to check on Aaron. She's closer to the Strand pod now though, and there's a fair amount of blood around her. She's looking at, but not touching another communication device. It's older than the other ones, a little more faded and there's some green moss around it.]

I think someone else is missing. I don't know who but...

[She is resisting the urge to toe at the device and see.] But I think I need some help.

[Truly, his lack of empathy was something psychologists would have had a field day with.]

What if it was Gyda or Ubbe?

That's different. I actually care about what happens to them.

[Very few people register as being real to Ivar. Most people he sees as little more than pawns on a chessboard. Amazingly enough, he used to be worse. Now at least he's learned how to care about other people even if it takes a long to time to do so.]

Wouldn't you want people to care enough to try and find them and not be an asshole to them if it was you?

I have very low standards when it comes to expecting anything out of people.

[Ubbe tends to see and reveal the good qualities in people. Ivar is the opposite, seeing only the bad and illuminating the parts of people they would have rather hid.]

Is that supposed to insult me? I already know what I am.

[He was rarely insulted when people spoke the truth to him. Plus he was well aware that he was a horrible person most of the time.]

[He doesn't even listen to Ubbe and he was usually the only authority figure around when he was growing up.]

[He's not above hitting a girl. Men and women are pretty equal in Norse society.]

I’d think that you of all people would know about being underestimated.

There's only so much you can do with a limited amount of training. Later on, when you're better at fighting, then I shall consider you someone actually capable of some damage.
