Okay, I realize this is kind of silly. [Yeah, she does know, but she's going with it anyway, so...] But I'm trying to make a point to X'rut who runs the ice cream parlor. What's your favorite ice cream flavor back home? What kind of toppings would you like with it?

What sort of thing do you think never should be made into ice cream? My current one is pure wasabi with pieces of pickled plums that definitely looks like mint chocolate chip. I really don't recommend it. If you've ever eaten the ball of wasabi on a dare when you were having sushi with friends and had a fair amount to drink...

[That is a fairly specific story, Alex. Surely that was never you in college.]

Well, anyway, it's like that only turned up to a thousand. I can't imagine anyone enjoying it and salty plums. So let's give them a good idea of what kind of ice cream we would eat.

He's... a foodie. So yeah, kinda. No toaster needs that many settings.

He’s someone who likes really good food. Fancy food. There’s a whole culture around it and those are foodies. Like gourmets but worse.

I see...I guess there are worse things he could be obsessed with. I bet he has quite a few good recipes~

He's the best chef I know, honestly. He's been doing it a long time.

We'll have to compare recipes some time.

Do you like scotch?

[Alex can't see it, but the grimace is audible in Carol's voice.]

Not really...I've got bad memories associated with liquor, so I stay away from it. I do enjoy a nice wine, when I can find it, though.

Coffee and tea sound good, really. I could bake something and bring it over.

He does have a sweet tooth, so that would work.

Good to know. Sweets are my specialty~

I will definitely remember that. The only sweet thing I know how to make is Nanaimo bars.

Ah, a no-bake dessert. You could probably do well with chocolate drop cookies, too.

I found them online while searching for easy dessert recipes. Sophia liked them.
