So, anyone know how to get this thing out of your head? I really don't want to end up as monster bait and considering I haven't used as much as a cell phone in years, having something like this implanted directly into my brain is super sketchy and kind of dangerous. Technology and me don't really get along.

Actually, you know what? I got a scalpel. Nevermind. Anyone got a mirror? I'll figure it out.

Let's see.

[It takes him a moment to recall all those he'd met during his time in the city on the moon.]

There was Nice de Angelo, a son of Hades. He was my roommate Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite. We worked together. And Alex Fierro, child of Loki. She was... [Well, he doesn't feel like going into how much they had flirted, so he just drops the sentence.] Seemed like the place drew them in or something.

Is he now?

[Ivar had been unaware of that. It was too much to hope it might be the same version he'd known. This place had an annoying habit of bringing in multiple versions of the same person he'd known.]

Of course there are. My father was one of them. Ragnar, son of Odin.

[Which made Ivar Odin's grandson. What do you call the grandson of a god? A demi-demigod?]

Legacy, hmmm? [He rolls the word around in his mind for a moment.] That's a good word to describe it, yes.

Nothing like what Greek demigods get. My mother had the gift of prophecy, but she didn't pass it down to any of her sons.

[That's what happened when both of his parents were related to Odin, Aslaug being his great-great-great-great granddaughter. Really, it's a wonder Ivar didn't have six toes.]
