Tony felt himself being dragged back into the cave and his captors weren't being gentle as they did it. He couldn't see Yinsin but then again he was sure his friend would be fine. Tony was dragged into a room smaller then the one he and Yinsin had been staying in. He was shoved to another man and his head was dunked into a bowl of cold water and held there. Tony fought but he was weak with hunger and thirst so he didn't have much fight left. Just when he was about to black out, his torturer yanked his head out and yelled at him to make the weapons they wanted. Tony shook his head and the man shoved his head back under the water this time making sure to get water on the makeshift car battery keeping him alive.

The spark made Tony yell and he sucked in water and gagged. He threw up in the water but the man holding him didn't let him up for another minute or two. He was then dragged back to his cell and dumped on the ground in front of Yinsin. Tony didn't want to look up at the other man, he was too ashamed. The one time he stood up for what he knew was the right thing and he'd nearly died.....was he really going to make it out of this alive.

I can't imagine it would be easy to relive all of that. [ Steve looks slightly pained and is grateful for the audio, not video. ]

[Tony had no idea his memory had just been broadcast to the entire Sphere. He has no idea why he's been having those nightmares again.]

I was just...wondering if we could talk.....I've been thinking about stuff lately....

[Steve wants to say something about the memory, but he doesn't know how. ]

You're roommates around? I figure we could just crash in one of our rooms.

Not at the moment. You do remember you are one of my roommates, right?

[His voice is very much teasing ]

Yeah I remember that's why I said roomates.....I did miss your sense of humor Cap.

[There had been a month. Frick Frack Patty Whack it'd been a month. Peter had spent a whole month straight up, whole-heartedly, acting like a coward, sliding in and out of the dormitory, tip-toeing around the issue and feeling like a Class-A jerk so to have that suddenly funneled into his head like a bad biopic (and he has seen a number of bad Tony Stark biopics in his short lifetime) was enough to make him want to throw up.

Or maybe that was the sudden feeling of being dragged back underwater with no way out stuckstuckstuck underwater and.

He could ignore it. He probably should ignore it? Peter wasn't good at ignoring it.

He also wants to scream HE TOLD YOU SO to the universe at large. He didn't like being right. At least not like this.]

You know they released a movie about your life starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan three months after you died.

[Tony snorted and shook his head.]

Of course they wouldn't wait a certain amount of time...or cast someone who can actually look like me.

I mean it was on Lifetime, and was hyper focused on your childhood, so the quality wasn't...

[Peter bites his lower lip.]

I'm sorry.

Of course it was Lifetime.....I hope they made Jarvis into an actual character rather than just our butler.

Eh...[Peter waves his hand back and forth and then shrugs apologetically.] I don’t think they got full permission from Mrs. Stark. They didn’t go past 2012.

[They definitely skipped lightly over Afghanistan. Even with all the media surrounding the kidnapping, the public only ever got bland facts. Which, he guessed was for the best, right?]

That's my Pepper...always looking out for her boys. And 2012 was supposed to be the end of the world anyway right?

It kind of was. [The way the world worked changed on a base level. Aliens were real. The world suffered a literal invasion. If it hadn’t ended in Earth’s favor then...

He rubs the back of his head.]

[Tony's voice is soft and encouraging.]

[Tony smiled quietly. Normally he doesn't talk about Afgainstain much, but most of the dome has seen how bad it got.]

I tore apart all the weapons they gave me built a iron suit and charged my way out. I managed to escape.

[gristle]

An iron suit?

Yeah...like the knights of old only computerized. It flew too.

[gristle]

Oh. Huh. Is it here?
