[Memshare 01] - To The Victor...
You see Rex on the other side of the field, and there's a confident grin on your face. You look down at your hand and you drew just the right cards to crush those dumb dinosaurs of his, and when you look around, at the crowd and the spotlights, everything feels right. This is where you belong.
It was hard work reaching the National finals, and here you are, and there are people cheering your name, and it makes you feel good, accepted, and, well, you are actually happy.
You lay down your cards beautifully, and you don't even need to use Insect Queen to rise to victory, and before you know it, the speakers call out your name, crowning you as National Champion.
Your heart is fluttering, and your eyes are bright behind your thick glasses, and when your platform lowers so you can get the trophy from the hands of Pegasus' himself, you can't fight the blush that comes to your cheeks. Everything is so overwhelming, it feels like a dream. You don't remember ever feeling this good and this accomplished.
You just proved everyone what you always believed: that you are much, much better than everyone else.
[That wasn't a bad memory in the least, and yet, Haga doesn't look exactly thrilled about it. He actually looks very, very annoyed.]
Ugh, so this place is bringing that back, hm? Good... [He rolls his eyes, eyebrows knitted. One would think he would be glad to have something so good about him shown around, and yet... He isn't bragging as expected.]

[Voice]
Probably not but I think there is a game store.
[She doesn't really know but Enis is assuming.]
You can probably find it or maybe make your own cards. [Shouldn't be... to hard? It'd at least be something fun to point his focus on.]
[Voice]
Hmm... Make my own... [He mutters for a moment, mostly to himself. While he could easily reproduce his own cards very easily, since he knew those by heart, what would be the point of playing with Insect cards only? The real fun of Duel Monsters was being able to crush stronger monsters with the power of his insects.
He could do something from scratch but...]
Making a card game is a lot of hard work actually. I mean, it would keep me super distracted, and it could be kinda fun, but even a guy like Pegasus took years developing Duel Monsters. I dunno if, well, if I can do it. [It's usually rare for Haga to just straight up admit he can't do something, but that's a daunting task even for someone full of himself like him.]
[Voice]
Why not try it? If you can't do it, whatever, at least you know.
[Enis is all for trying things.]
You can teach me once you have two decks made.
[Voice]
Well, sure, why not. [Even though he wants to sound dismissive, he isn't really.
He's glad she's offering to play with him though. And since she wants to...] Hm, is there anything you think I should add to it? Like, what creatures?
[Voice]
[That is a loaded question for Enis... not that this kid knows but creatures mean more to her than images on cards or in games.] I'm not sure that I'm the best person to ask that. Why not do Halloween themed creatures? Since the holiday is coming up.
[That feels innocent enough.]
[Voice]
He seems to think for a moment before speaking.] Hm, there's a lot of ghost and zombie cards from Duel Monsters I could use as inspiration for that... [He seems to be talking more to himself than anything else, before his attention is back on Enis.]
Hmph, you know what? I'm smart and I have a lot of time, so I know I can do this! [Here comes that cocky attitude again.] I'm sure people here need something to pass the time that's as good as Duel Monsters!
[Voice]
It does get very boring here.
[Enis has a job to help pass the time but she knows that not everyone does.]
