[This is actually a rare sight on the network, because Alex normally always does audio posts. But today it's a video. She's in her office and she looks much better than she normally does. There's no signs of her ever having an insomnia problem, and that look of vague huntedness is gone as well. While Alex always has an easy smile, it's not the devil may care grin she's got now.

But it's been a few days, her anger has mostly faded and she's done research because an Alex Reagan is an Alex Reagan in that sense.]

So, I just want to apologize if I seem a bit weird. I mean, I am a bit weird compared to what you're used to. But that's because I'm not her. I'm sorry. I'd still like to meet you, and get to know you and tell your stories!

[Alex's radio ready voice sounds earnest and sincere, because she is! But there is definitely a but coming.]

However, I would appreciate it if people could stop asking me about Strand, because whatever your old Alex might have had with him? I don't. So I don't know if he's okay or not. Ask him. I don't know if old me was his keeper or whatever, but I'm definitely not.

[Not true. He's just unwilling to admit he has any.]

Oh, [There's a laugh.] I wouldn't say I'm quite that bad. Moments of it maybe, but that's probably the Canadian in me more than anything.

Why don't you think you have friends if I'm such a Pollyanna, though?

Sounds like a decent idea. Blame Canada for everything is a solid plan.

Most people outside of my family don't really get along with me. It's nothing personal, just the way I tend to be.

But we seem to get along...

Also if you start singing 'Blame Canada' from South Park, we're gonna have a problem.

[Other Alex might have jumped at the noise, but this Alex just laughs.]

[Her mouth curls into a warm smile as Alex approaches. She doesn't notice anything odd but then Inesa has never been particularly good at recognizing things like heavier makeup. She doesn't wear a lot of make up herself though lately she's been trying it out.]

Nice to meet you, Ultron. I hope I live up to your expectations of me.

Well, you haven't disappointed me yet and that's a rarity. I tend to have high expectations when it comes to people.

[Is Alex just going to casually push a lock of Inesa's hair behind her cheek? Yes, yes she is. And her hand lingers just a little bit at that. Not too long, probably not more than half of a second, but it does before she just gives a grin to the other woman.]

Really? I suppose that's something to be proud of then! I hadn't thought of it that way before.

Perhaps you're merely an exception to the usual wretched masses of humanity I encounter.

[Or maybe Ultron's general opinion of humanity overall is finally starting to change a little bit.]

[Her cheek flushes a light rose red as warmth tingles across her skin. She's been touched before but not many of her close acquaintances are very touchy and it surprises her.] Alright. Um...

[She hesitates and then gently takes Alex's arm. She pauses briefly, giving her friend a look to make sure that this is okay and then leads the way to the club that she knows of. It isn't a place she goes to often but she remembers going there with Seregil.]

There's definitely some humans that suck for sure, but I think in general we're good. Or at least most of us try to good anyway. Even if we're not that good at doing it.

I've never really been able to believe that. Sure, there's some good here and there, but overall, humanity is just a bunch of bad eggs.

Maybe it's a half glass empty, half glass full kind of thing?

Seems like we're mixing metaphors now, but okay. I'll humor you. What makes humanity so good? And don't start in with talk of all their fluffy emotions, I want some concrete examples.

[He's such a cranky robot sometimes.]

[The difference, possibly one of the biggest actually is that this Alex doesn’t have three years of asshole wrangling experience. So, as such she gives a response much different than the other Alex would.]

You know, emotions are kinda the whole human thing.

[Alex just gives her a warm smile at the blush and she follows the other woman very close behind letting her lead Alex without her even thinking about it. This sounds like a good fun time and that’s what Alex is all about right now considering everything.]

Guess that makes me closer to humanity then I thought.

[Though Ultron's are corrupted, and ultimately, his experience at actually handling them is nearly nil.]

Why do you think you aren't?

I was supposed to be better then humanity. The closest thing to perfection that could made made in the form of artificial intelligence.

[That clearly hadn't gone according to plan.]

Wouldn't artificial intelligence not need emotions in order to be perfect? Considering so many of humanity's mistakes come from emotionalism?
