Hello! [ The woman that comes into view has a bald head and a strained smile on her face. Her voice is clear and chipper, but perhaps just a bit too chipper for the situation. She's got an over-sized jacket with short sleeves wrapped tightly around her and the faintest hints of red stains can be made out when she turns a certain angle. ]

I shouldn't be here. Again. [ Somewhere else again. The only sign of the frustration she feels is the momentary puckering of her lips. ] I want to go back to where I was. I need to. I figured things out. How to get it out and people need to know.

[ She looks very concerned for a second and just a tiny bit distressed. It gets replaced by another smile again though quickly enough. Another forced smile from someone trying a bit too hard. ]

I just need to get back. Or to know if maybe they're here? Whatever here really is. It's not what it says it is. Nothing ever really is. [ It's a paranoid statement but her tone doesn't quite match. It's a very blunt tone, as if it's just a fact that nothing ever really is what it seems to be. ]

Usually I could look for them myself but everything feels all jumbled up.

[ She pauses for a second and all of the sudden the smile on her face seems a lot more genuine. ]

I like the fishies here though! Hello fishies! [ She's talking to the bio-luminescent fish outside the Sphere. And that is the end of the video. ]

Is it safe to talk about things here? It wasn't where I came from. [ And maybe she's still a tiny bit paranoid. ]

A moon sounds better than where I was.

Yeah, it's safe to talk about things here. There's not been a problem with the network not being really. At least not in over a year.

What was it like where you were?

It wasn't safe to talk about things on the network there. [ And that's a first difference to take note of. ] People could only talk about some things in person. Or with me. [ But people got freaked out with her way of talking sometimes. Telepathic group phone calls with full projects are evidently disturbing to suddenly be plopped into.

But now that it seems like she's safely deterred the conversation away from what may have happened to her, she's happy to continue on with a description of Dualis. ]

It was a city that changed a lot. A few places stayed the same but other things moved around here then there. The Head brought us there to make robot versions of us. That's not what he said at first, but nobody should have believed he was telling the truth.

[It's easy for Alex to imagine just how much trouble she would get into with that, because Alex isn't good at not talking about things in general, never mind not being table to talk about things like that in a circumstance like that was.

Then she just gasped.]

Robot versions? Really? Why? I mean if he already had you guys there and stuff.

We never really found out. I think maybe he thought he could make perfect people that way. Robots can't get sick or die. [ There's a small hint of sympathy in her voice. ] A plague wiped out the people there. So then it was just the Head. Maybe it went a little crazy. That happens if you get stuck in your own head sometimes.

That sounds...

[Alex is just frowning intently, and it's audible in her voice actually.]

A bit like something that someone did here. Building a robot body because it couldn't get sick or die or like leave you if it went against it's programming. But it didn't really end up working the way that she intended when it came to the AI or to the person that she built it for.

Did it go bad and try to kill her?

The Sphere sent the maker home before my time. The AI, she tried to kill all of us.

Well, she did kill me actually. Twice. Death doesn’t really stick here. At all.

I've died twice before too! [ Should someone really sound excited about that? Probably not. ] No. Three now.

When you come back here, what's it like?

It's weird. Like waking up the first time that you got here. Only there's none of the reassuring voice. Instead it's just like... it all comes back to you. The memory of how you died. And you look around expecting to be there but you're not.

It was like that for me too, mostly. With some other things in. I'm sorry you had to go through that, it's not fun for anyone.

It really isn’t. I’m sorry you had to experience it too. Was it where you were?

Once there, but I did that and knew it was coming. Twice back home.

How did you know it was coming?

I planned it. But sometimes I can see deaths too.
