[A young woman appears. Her long, dark hair is tangled and soaking wet, hanging down in front of her haggard face. Her age is hard to pin down, but it’s clear that she’s seen better days. And worse days, for that matter.]
There is rain that falls from a pipe here!
[This was a fact she’d learned with a shriek when she’d decided to play ‘what does this knob do’ in her room.
Her face lights up when she speaks, though, her accent clearly French.]
First it scalded, then when I tried to turn it off it became incredibly cold! [She giggles though, a rather ugly sound, and moves over to flop down on her bed melodramatically. On her right hand, visible as she gets comfortable, a bright red circular scar can be seen.] And such a bed! Have you ever seen such a bed before?
[She exhales, relaxing into the mattress.]
If this is heaven, I believe I am in the wrong place.

[She just smiles, as if what she's saying is perfectly normal.]
I love shopping myself. I sometimes go out to find fabrics for the shop even though I don't really have too.
no subject
You have a shop! I should love to see what fine fabrics you have! You must be wealthy!

[Her expression softens and she shakes her head.]
I don't. The money that I earn goes into the fabric,, the building, the people there and then I give it back to the city. I don't like having a lot of money. [It's awkward for her.] So please let me know if there is anything you need. I'd be happy to supply you, money or no.

Why would you not want to have money? Money gives you such freedoms!

[She absolutely adores him and Alec. They have become something like mothers to her during her time within the sphere.]
Does it? I suppose because I am free without money.
But, I think it's different for me.

There isn't anything that money can buy me that I absolutely need.

[A beat.]
I don't need to eat but I like trying new things.
no subject
Do not need to eat! What is this?

[She smiles.]
I like the rain.
Oh. I am not human. I am... I believe that many call it an angel but I am not sure what you'd call it.

[She could be clean, and Paris would grow quiet.]
An angel? A true angel? Oh, lady Inesa! [She's clasping her hands together in front of her as though in prayer.]

[She has to think about it.]
What's the difference between a true angel and an untrue angel?

I am not a devil or a demon.

[She pauses briefly.]
It might be easier if we were to be in person.
