(content warning: flayed men, Ramsay Bolton, canon typical violence)
[ This memory plays over the network. It's not Theon in this memory but Reek, the creature completely broken by Ramsay. When he left to follow his orders he feels like he's in the wrong skin. Theon is dead. But Ramsay had told him to do this and so somehow he pulled off the act. The words of an old life felt hollow.
But when the man sees through him the facade cracks. When the man dies he's able to compose himself slightly. And when he tells the man that they'll live if they yield, he actually believes it. There's a crack of Theon there, a moment, where it feels like he's done something right, saved some of his people.
The glimmer doesn't last, Ramsay made sure of that. ]

You are Theon of house Greyjoy. Now and forever. You are my prince. [She's holding out a glass of whiskey, tempered by tea, to him.]

But he couldn't because it would hurt Sansa too badly.
He takes a long drink out of the glass and brushes one hand through his hair. There were no words that he could think to say, just a rising bad feeling, a tightness in his throat and an ache in both his mind and soul. ]

She doesn't say anything. She lets him drink, lets him sit, her arm around him so he knew she was there for him. He can speak when he's ready. If he's ever ready.]

[Because really, what else can he say about any of that?]

He might be culpable in this. Had Roose said anything about flaying when he told Robb his bastard was going to reclaim Winterfell? He couldn't remember, as much as he tried, his memories were traitors to him now.
What did he even say to this? The broadcast starts, but the cuts off. There really are no clear thoughts or feelings, only conflicted ones.]

I'm sorry, Robb.

I gave no orders for this.
I'm sorry.

Ramsay had a mind of his own and I deserved every bit of it anyway.

[Like maybe a father influencing his son to betray his best friend?]

[ Otherwise, Theon would have never tried to prove himself a true Greyjoy to his father when Ned had always been his real one. ]

[Hey, Theon. This is the girl who has been helping Robb drink his pain away.]

[She's thinking, putting things together, what she can remember from drunken nights, what she can't.
Her dark eyes grow cold, a scowl evident across her face.]
You are the one.

I assume you've heard him talk of me, then.
no subject
He does not talk about you.
[Which is worse, honestly, to not be spoken about than to spoken about in low whispers. But she knows this, and she knows enough from what Robb's said, what she's learned from the memories since she's arrived. She doesn't particularly care for Theon Greyjoy. Not in the least.]

What did that man do to you? To make you like this?
[Eponine pulls no punches. Just goes straight for the throat.]
