Rhus is leaning against a table, his arms on the surface of it so his lower body is not visible, but every so often, there will be a fuzzy tail swishing to and fro behind him. Just in case you didn't believe that he's indeed rather cat-like.]

Rhus, an adventurer, at your service. [His voice is soft and even, but not at all cautious or nervous. Clearly he's no stranger to being in unusual places. But he's also putting on a front, just so he wont panic, and so other people wont panic either.]

If any of you distrust the medicines here, I'm willin' to be the healer you're lookin' for. Though if it were a cure for overdrinkin' you're looking for, I've not the materials for that yet.

[Yet, he says. Meaning he could make one!]

[The man appearing on the network is...part cat? That's weird. No weirder than other creatures Rhys has met. At least this one looks pretty adorable. That's a good sign, right?]

Hey, Rhus. I'm Rhys. [Rhys's appears laid-back, his jacket cast off somewhere, and the top couple of buttons on his shirt undone to reveal the blue ink.] What sort of adventures have you been on?

Heh. I've been on so many that we shall be here for days and even I 'ave not the constitution for tha'. [And some still give him nightmares, as it were.]

All right, yeah, fair enough. Maybe we can trade stories another time. [He laughs easily.] Any idea how you got here? Underwater doesn't exactly seem like the right place for a cat.

[verstoned]

[Oh, will he be surprised at where Rhus was born, then.]

I woke up here. [That little bit of sassiness is accompanied by a wave of his tail.] But you needn't worry about mine abilities under the sea.

[...Odd. Rhus's way of talking reminds Rhys of a certain dragon man. Maybe they're from the same world?]

I think we all just woke up here. Nobody really seems to remember the how. [He shrugs.] Is everyone from your world part cat?

[verstoned]

People from my world are people. [Oops, more sass.] Yet that's not what you're truly askin', eh?

Obviously not. [Rhys frowns, then runs his robotic hand through his hair.] That would be why I asked if they were part cat.

[verstoned]

I'm not part cat, so certainly my kind aren't either. [He's playing the way a cat would play with prey though.] There are many different races of man, but no one is animal.

Yeah? So tell me, genius, what race has cat ears and a cat tail? [At least he's not getting smacked around with a sword this time. He's safe in his own dorm room.] Where I'm from, no race has those. We've all got the same parts, they just come in different shades.

Magic. [Simple! Clean! Easy!] With all the technology here, I'm thinkin' my specialty's no common sight.

Why the hell would people need magic when there's a damn good infirmary here?

Has any newcomer from this month visited? Do they trust you? [With that bedside manner?]

Why the hell should they trust some random ass mumbo jumbo magic?

[verstoned]

Mayhap because I give them another option, especially if they come from lands where magicks are more prevalent than chirurgeons with technologies.

Well, they aren't in a land of magic. And god knows what magic would do to a person who's not already been exposed to it on some sort of cellular level.

[verstoned]

Oh, I'm well aware of what it could do. And I know how to avoid such things.

[Rhus pinches his cheek and pulls at it. He's not sure if the girl can see it, but he's still projecting his own face, in any case.]

Real enough.

[gristle]

[Bev considers for a second.]

You look like a stuffed animal.

[verstoned]

Now that's just insulting, 'specially when I am no animal.

[gristle]

I didn't say you were! Just that you looked like a teddy bear or something!

[Yeah, Bev's defensive. Sorry.]

I shall only accept that as a compliment if you are not about to say that is because I look like an animal.

You don't look the same as people at home do!

[verstoned]

And? [He leans his elbows on the surface of the table before him.] Does that make me less or more than you?
