cw: parental murder, blood, general craziness and demons?

[ What's most apparent is that he's not in his body, not his real body. The knife is still solid in his hand as he goes into his parent's room. He doesn't really want to do it but they've already been using him and now he knew that they were trying to do the same thing to other children -- using them as pawns to summon demons and start the apocalypse.

He had to stop them. No one else would stop them, after all, and they were going to destroy everything good in the world just like they'd destroyed him. When he'd been just a baby a portal had been opened, one that never closed. He'd been used in their attempt to take away all the good. He knew even at the young age of 11 that he was too far gone, damaged, but they couldn't take away the simple beauties in life for everyone else, like sunsets. Simon loved sunsets and his parents and those like them wanted to destroy that for everyone.

So, what came next was violent and unhinged. His parents were asleep when he first starts to stab them. He keeps stabbing and stabbing. Everything is covered in blood and what's left behind is a scene from a horror movie.

But the next thing you know, Simon's in his bed, there's no blood but his parents are certainly dead. ]

No, but tell me: was that prior to or in consequence of the murder of your parents?

Consequence in a manner of speaking.

So it was due to your parents' untimely demise.

I wouldn't talk to anyone, so yes, I suppose. No one believed that I did it, though.

The proof, though, should be clearly in the pudding, shouldn't it?

What do you mean?

They were dead. Who did they suspect if not the one present?

[interconnectedness]

There was no proof that I was present.

And I was 10 years old. No one wanted to believe that a child could be a monster who murders their parents in a bloody macabre scene.

Then was some innocent charged with the crime in your stead?

[interconnectedness]

No.

[tevinteraltus]

So your parents' deaths go unsolved?

[interconnectedness]

No one could explain it, no.

[tevinteraltus]

That seems rather careless on the parts of your law enforcement.

[interconnectedness]

It is more of a lack of imagination than carelessness.

[tevinteraltus]

Just as tragic, really.
