UN - Maresh
[Good Afternoon all, Rhy has arrived and is smiling into the camera, his smile warm and he hopes as charming as he can manage. The right sort of look from your publicly elected council member. He hopes.]
Good afternoon all, Rhy Maresh here, one of your council representatives. I'm reaching out today with a few requests for ways you can assist me in helping you as a member of your council.
First, I'm looking to bring to the board a way to improve part of our welcoming procedures. There may be others, like me, who came to this place and had trouble adjusting due to world differences or technology gaps. I believe that we might benefit from something akin to a deeper introduction to how adjusting to this world can be. The things they can do, the things they can try, how to approach technology and warning them of the darkness that sometimes overwhelms us. So my first question is this.
If you could ask two questions when you first arrived here that were not covered by Max, Laurie, and Annie's normal introductions for us, what would they be. Anything from 'where is there good food' to 'do we have to work' to 'but WHY is the Network a thing' works. I'll try and gather the most useful and spread out ones to help create a lovely little briefing packet. Or does that seem silly?
The second question is this.
I have heard of something recently in my reading. It was called a 'Talent Show'. Can anyone explain it to me? And is it popular enough that it might be to public interest for a little celebration?

As for questions...why is it certain areas shift in position, and why is it only certain others who arrived with the council members have access to the network?
[His smile turns amused.]
A Talent Show is rather similar to what it sounds: amateurs perform their talents before an audience, oftentimes with prizes. I would say they're fairly popular, yes.

I am glad that you are working hard on this and that I still see you around the shop. [She'd been worried he'd leave after being elected but she's happy to see that he is determined to do both.] I think that maybe telling people who they can ask those questions too... that is, when they first arrived.
I am not very good with technology but Rhys helped me. So maybe something like that, if people familiar with certain things would be willing to volunteer their time.
[There is a brief pause before she continues.]
I think a talent show is where people show off their talents. It would be a good event. I'd love to be able to sing for people. [Her voice stammers slightly.] If they'd want to hear me sing.

What is it that you need explained about a talent show? It's pretty self-explanatory.
